BC High duo prevails

SHREWSBURY — The operative cliche is that sports are usually a marathon and not a sprint, unless, of course, your name happens to be Usain Bolt. But in the case of the state boys doubles final between the winning BC High tandem of freshman Caye Tittman and sophomore Charles Morris and an equally gritty Lexington duo of Jesse Kao and Dan Maffa, the former was certainly true. The Eagles prevailed, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 (1) in the sun-scorched duel that lasted 2 hours, 40 minutes at St. John’s High.
